Apple Day for the Parish was held in the Community Orchard on Saturday 14th September, the day dawned bright and sunny. Parishioners gathered in the Orchard at 10.30am.
Tables and equipment were set up and “the action started”
Apples were picked, chopped, scratted (Squashed) and then put into the press, and lots of lovely Apple Juice was produced. Participants enjoyed hot drinks, apple pastries and very tasty cake.
Everyone was invited to sample the beautiful juice, and to fill their containers to take home, and parishioners were also invited to pick apples to take home. A very happy and enjoyable morning was spent by all involved, adults and children.
The Parish Council would like to say a big THANK_YOU to everyone who supported this event.
